Mod Salon is a friendly, fun, and welcoming salon located in the heart of Baton Rouge on Jefferson Hwy. We celebrated our 7th anniversary in January and the salon has never been busier!
Mod Salon offers a full range of color, cutting, and treatment services. At our color bar, we use the entire Paul Mitchell color line, including demi-permanent color and the new Color XG line. We also offer Keratin, smoothing, split end mending and B3 treatments, as well as facial waxing. We carry a large portion of the Paul Mitchell haircare line and are proud to have been the first salon in Baton Rouge to carry R+Co hair products! Mod also loves to support small businesses and local vendors. Our boutique area features products we believe in.
We are a big fan of customer service at Mod and treat our clients like family. From our wash-house, where we provide a relaxing scalp massage in addition to the shampoo, to the front desk, we make sure all of our guests have a great experience. You will walk in as a client and leave a friend.
Mod has a fantastic rewards program. It’s simple: you refer a guest to us and we give you $10 in Mod Money! Ask us for a 25% off coupon to give to a friend for their first haircut. Love to buy products? We have a rewards program to keep you looking MOD. Every time you purchase a Paul Mitchell product you will get a stamp on your reward card. After the 10th stamp, your next product is 25% off.

We support local artists
Drop by to check out our local artists including Mimosa Handcrafted, Beneath the Bark, XODO Botanicals, and Kismet Cosmetics. We have mobiles by George Ufford that hang throughout the salon and are all for sale. We rotate art every 8 weeks and it is available for purchase.
Our mission is to provide the best salon experience possible. We are a purposefully small salon, with a handful of very talented stylists who stay busy with a scheduled and loyal clientele. Because of this, we often have a running pending list of guests waiting to secure an appointment. In order to ensure all of our clients receive their services in a timely manner, we have the following confirmation system in place.
Three days before your scheduled appointment, you’ll receive a confirmation text message from us. Just reply with a Y to confirm, or an N to cancel. If we don’t receive a response within 24 hours, we’ll check in with a phone call.
If you wish to cancel your appointment, we kindly ask for 24 hours notice when possible. This gives us time to contact pending list clients to fill the appointment.
We will not reschedule reoccurring no shows. We understand that life happens, and exceptions will always be made in cases of client illness or emergency.

Color correction can be a time extensive, multi-step and often multi-appointment process. To get a better idea of your goals and the amount of time we will need to achieve them, we ask you to send us a current picture of your hair a basic rundown of any other colors you’ve had over the last two years, and a picture of your goal. After a quick email consult, we will be able to give you a better idea of starting budget and time frame for your appointments.
